Why did you choose Fletcher for your graduate studies? I chose Fletcher for several reasons: first, the fact that it is a professional school that places a heavy emphasis on preparing students for careers in international affairs, rather than taking an academic approach to the subject. Second, it allows students to shape their own degree which, as a prospective graduate student, I was keen to do. Finally, it has an excellent reputation and a wide and enthusiastic alumni network that stays with you for your whole career.

How my experience at Fletcher has changed the way I look at the world: My experience at Fletcher opened my eyes to the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in solving global problems. The Fletcher student body offers a great illustration: you can have a business executive, a diplomat, an aid worker, and a military colonel working hard together to solve a pressing global problem. Each brings something truly unique to the table and each works from a premise of mutual respect. The results of this kind of collaboration are often extraordinary.
