How did your Fletcher experience prepare you for your current job? The people that I met during my time at Fletcher - the professors, alumni, invited guests and classmates genuinely impressed and inspired me. I particularly enjoyed having my assumptions challenged regularly. Some of those assumptions were so long and deeply held that I didn't realize they existed and some were things I'd never cared enough about to consider. Having them brought to light and questioned I think has made me better prepared to deal with our shifting global system and how my work and personal life are affected by it.
On the community: Being at Fletcher opened my eyes to a whole new world that I was completely unfamiliar with. The number of organizations, functions and countries that my classmates had experience with was extraordinary. Coming from business school, I was feeling that I couldn’t quite find the right path, but I felt so inspired by the people and the classes at Fletcher. My only problem now was that everything seemed so interesting; I went from no choice to too much!
