On pursuing a dual degree: I still remember attending an information session on the majors available at the University of St. Gallen during my first year of undergrad. During the session on international affairs studies, our dean showed us a picture of the campus of The Fletcher School and asked if anyone knew what it was. One student raised his hand and responded with glowing eyes: “Some say that this is the best graduate school for diplomacy in the world and that students at St. Gallen can apply for a dual degree program there!” Ever since, I have known that I wanted to be a part of this institution. The diverse array of students, the accessibility of the professors, and the student life in and around Fletcher only reinforced my determination to apply for the dual degree program. I knew that it would prepare me well for my long-term goal of becoming a diplomat.

On campus life: Campus life is what truly separates Fletcher from any other institution. Alumni often talk about the Fletcher family and I can definitely attest to this description. The various institutes and research centers strive to involve students in their many activities, student clubs constantly try to outdo each other in terms of events, and the administration at Fletcher does its best to address every person’s needs. The Fletcher campus experience is truly unique.
