Why Fletcher? I chose Fletcher because I believed it had the potential to broaden my global perspective, and improve my knowledge of the world. I was right. To say that there are endless opportunities to build friendships and coalitions across a diverse network of world-class scholars would be an understatement. Since joining Fletcher, I have been inspired, encouraged, and challenged by my classmates and what they represent – individually and collectively – as the next leaders of our generation. Most potential Fletcher students know of the School’s rich history and tradition of excellence with regard to International Relations. This was a significant factor, among others, in drawing me to Fletcher. The School’s academic approach toward International Relations, Economics, Political Theory, Business, History, Law, and Social Science is truly unique. Relatedly, Fletcher also stood out from other schools of its kind because of its world-renowned faculty, high-level academicians, researchers, and professors of practice who bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge.

On Fletcher's global perspective: Every day at Fletcher I have the opportunity to interact, collaborate, and build community with different people from different places around the world. I engage with the “international community” on a daily basis. There is something powerful about passionate young professionals and scholars engaging in intellectual discussions, while thinking about ways to make our world a better place to live. As a student of life, and a student of the world, my global perspective is often being shaped, re-shaped, and challenged by the Fletcher community.
