Bringing Experience Back Home: As an Afghan, with decades-long experience with war, I felt the urge to pursue the course of understanding the world and contributing to positive change. The Fletcher School has some of the most brilliant faculty in the world; by engaging with them I am confident that I will further understand the complexities of today’s turbulent world and help to bring about positive change in my native country. I also hope to use my skills and knowledge acquired at Fletcher, to realize that change in my country. I am certain about one thing when it comes to Fletcher, and that is its dedication to sustaining a vibrant marketplace of ideas and promoting multidisciplinary approaches to solving the world’s most pressing issues. I am a firm believer in Fletcher’s mission and know that Fletcher is a natural fit for me.
