On selecting the MIB program: Before joining The Fletcher School, I worked at IFC and the Rothschild Group for five years in Beijing. At IFC, I worked as an investment analyst in charge of financial due diligence, investment analysis, and portfolio management. At Rothschild, I acted as a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) analyst, actively engaged in global M&A transactions for our clients. According to my previous work experience, both in private and public sector, both in buy-side and sell-side financial sectors, the success of a global investment is never merely determined by the financial factors, but also, to a large degree, jointly determined by many more complex international geopolitical, socioeconomic, and cultural factors. The MIB program at the Fletcher School is designed exactly upon such philosophy - based on the solid training of international business and finance, the program provides rich academic and practical resources and great flexible spaces for students to develop necessary skills to tackle complicated global business issues in the future.

On how Fletcher will help me achieve my goals: Nowadays, as information technology and other innovations develop rapidly, the connections among different nations and people in the world are exponentially growing. Under the context of globalization, companies are seeking for global opportunities to generate revenues, governments and international organizations are collaborating to tackle development issues, and individuals are looking for international experience and contacts to fuel up their personal career development. As a professional with finance expertise, I am fully committed to contributing my talents in solving the challenging global investment puzzles as my future career. I believe that the solid training regarding the international finance and other important global subjects that I receive at Fletcher, plus Fletcher’s valuable platform and alumni resources, will definitely help me to realize my career dream.
