Why Fletcher: Having lived in six countries before applying to graduate school, it was important for me to find the perfect school that would allow me to build on my international experience while providing me with the skills of a traditional MBA program. In early December last year, as I was still muddling through long lists of potential graduate schools, I spontaneously decided to attend the MIB visit day at Fletcher. That day, I sat in on a Technology and Development lecture and a Project Finance lecture and was impressed by the truly international context that was emphasized in both classes. The ability of the students in these classes to discuss business, political, cultural and economical aspects of the most remote places in the world was what convinced me that Fletcher was the right place for me.

On collaboration at Fletcher: The collaboration and teamwork of students both inside and outside of the classroom has been incredibly motivating during my first weeks at Fletcher. Before coming to Fletcher, I started working on my own mobile health venture in Rwanda, but it was only when I met some of my passionate classmates that I had a team to assist me in this endeavor. The unique diversity of students at Fletcher allowed me to meet people with the same interests and with the relevant experience that has allowed the project to really take shape. What really impressed me was the speed at which we developed a team (literally in the first week at Fletcher) and the remarkable collaboration that allows us to progress every day.
