Why I chose Fletcher: As I grew up in a multiracial and multicultural society in Malaysia, I have witnessed the importance of respect for diversity to ensure an orderly society. The Fletcher School has always been a melting pot of cultures with students and academic scholars from all corners of the world. This environment, as well as Fletcher's unique LL.M. program, sparks my creativity and leads me to employ balanced methodology in facing crises. Besides that, Fletcher's cross-disciplinary teaching approach to connecting history, politics, economics, and cultural perspective also allows me to understand a subject in more detail, and contribute my views from an Asian perspective.
Classroom Experience at Fletcher: My classroom experiences at Fletcher have always been fruitful. Not only are the faculty members dedicated and knowledgeable in their respective fields, but the students who are from various educational and working backgrounds contribute generously to classroom discussions. Additionally, the flexibility of Fletcher's curriculum has allowed me to design my own course of study based on my interests. Even though I am an LL.M. student, I can focus on subjects such as Development Economics, Human Rights, and International Development.
