Why I chose Fletcher: Fletcher was the only place where I could create a curriculum that was tailored to my specific needs and interests. Because no two Fletcher students are alike, the administration allows you the flexibility to be in the driver’s seat of your own experience. For me, that meant expanding my competencies not only in economics, but finance, accounting and business strategy as well. I have yet to meet a Fletcherite who isn't engaging, thoughtful and generally someone I'd like to spend time with. Of all the schools I considered, Fletcher had the most genuine, insightful and unpretentious student body around. From the moment I visited, I knew this would be the type of place where I could push myself to grow and try new things
Something that has surprised me about Fletcher: The idea of living in Medford, MA did not immediately evoke an image of living in a bustling international community. How wrong I was! There is such a vibrant intellectual and cultural community within Fletcher that has allowed me to push myself to grow. The Fletcher community offers all of the benefits (and more) that I thought would only be possible in NY or DC. The world really comes right to you here and the possibilities are endless.
