Since late 2010, Sandro Grunenfelder has served as assistant corporate secretary at a major international Swiss bank. He assumed this role following four years in the bank's governmental affairs department. Prior to this, Sandro worked as a trade magazine journalist in Turkey and Australia. Fascinated by sovereign wealth funds’ unique position at the crossroads of politics and financial markets, Sandro simultaneously embarked on a part-time Ph.D. programme at the University of St. Gallen in 2008 (Supervisors Professors Hans Peter Fagagnini and Bruno Gehrig). He is a graduate from the University of St. Gallen and holds an MSc from the London School of Economics.
