John is a dual master’s degree candidate at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. He is also enrolled in Tufts’ interdisciplinary water resources graduate certificate program: Water: Systems, Science and Society (WSSS). His research focuses on food security, agricultural development and natural resources management, particularly on the intersection of water, food and livelihoods. Prior to graduate school, John worked for Chemonics International, where he managed and implemented USAID-funded natural resources and rural development programs based in Central America and Washington DC. He has also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador’s Amazon basin region, working in the areas of aquaculture production and natural resources management. John received his bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Anthropology from Middlebury College.
