Editors-in-Chief

Sangeetha Madasamy is a second-year MALD student concentrating on Development Economics and International Security Studies. Prior to Fletcher, she worked in a NGO in Singapore that focused on development communication in the Asia-Pacific Region. This past summer, she was working on program development at the Institute for Human Security.

Andrew Dusek is a second-year MALD student studying human security and international conflict resolution with an emphasis on atrocity crimes and transitional justice. He previously conducted research on genocide prevention in Washington, D.C., and worked on peacebuilding and transitional justice in Rwanda, Bosnia, Poland, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

Senior Editors

Radhika Bhula is a second-year MALD student focusing on development economics and human security. Prior to Fletcher, she worked at a consulting company in its healthcare practice. This past summer she was in Rwanda working with a small NGO that provides leadership development training for women and girls.

Sumaya Saluja is a second-year MALD student focusing on Human Rights and Transitional Justice, and Human Security. Prior to Fletcher, she worked with a Human Rights organisation based in India focused on advocating for sexual and reproductive health and rights of young people, and child rights.

Robert Pulwer is a first-year MALD student concentrating and security issues. Prior to Fletcher, he worked in education in a variety of public and nonprofit organizations.  He is interested in how human security concerns and national security interests interact.

Peter Sacco is a first-year MALD interested in the intersection of human security and security studies. He has a BA in journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and most recently worked in Guatemala as a Junior Editor for the PanAm Post.

Senior Web Editor

Hector Portillo is a second-year MALD student from Mexico. He is focusing his studies on gender, conflict resolution and monitoring and evaluation for peacebuilding. Before coming to Fletcher, he worked in the Mexican Federal Government for four years.

Staff Editors

Katrina Braun (Katie) is a first-year MALD student also pursuing a concurrent JD at Harvard Law. Before starting graduate school, she worked at an immigration law firm, and spent summer 2015 at a nonprofit education law centre in South Africa. She is pursuing a career in international human rights law.

Ayla Francis is a first-year MALD student focused on international political economy and human security issues in Africa. Prior to Fletcher, she worked in Washington, DC on Capitol Hill, at USAID and in monitoring & evaluation consulting.

Ahmed Jawad is a first year MALD student from Pakistan. He is pursuing international security studies and conflict resolution at Fletcher with an added focus on political and economic security. Prior to enrolling at Fletcher, he worked in the development sector of Pakistan. He has a BA in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

Staff Web Editors

John McSorley is a first year MALD student focusing on security studies and international conflict resolution.  Prior to Fletcher, he worked in accounting at Donoghue Barrett & Singal in Boston, MA.  He has a BA in European History from Bates College.

Ian Wallace is a first-year MALD student concentrating on international trade and development economics. Prior to Fletcher, he worked in education as a 6th grade Science teacher with Teach for America in Nashville, TN and as an english teacher in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Social Media Outreach

Maša Đikanović is a second-year MALD student focusing on gender, conflict, and human rights. Prior to Fletcher, she worked for the Montenegrin government, and co-founded an NGO that promotes the use of technology for social good. This past summer, Maša interned at UNITAR / UN DPKO, where she worked on the UN Police Gender Training Toolkit.

Strategy Development

Shruti Patel is a first year MALD student focusing on Developmental Economics and Conflict Resolution. She previously worked in the asset management for the past decade in a variety of roles ranging from product development, private equity investing and corporate strategy. She has her BA in Political Science and Economics from Tufts University.
