  • The Student Health Insurance Plan will automatically be charged along with tuition to all enrolled students who are scheduled to take three or more courses (these charges to your account will be visible through your eBill).

  • All international students, regardless of course load, will be charged for the Student Health Insurance Plan.

If you have questions about the Student Health Insurance Plan, contact the Health Service Office at 617-627-3592. Please be aware that foreign insurance coverage, as well as some U.S. insurance plans are often not considered comparable coverage.

If you have comparable health insurance, you may consult with the Tufts Health Service Office (http://ase.tufts.edu/healthservice/business.htm) about the Student Health Insurance Plan charge being waived. Students who have comparable U.S. insurance may have this fee waived at the discretion of the Director of the Tufts Health Service Office.

After consulting with the Director of the Tufts Health Service, if you plan not to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan, beginning November 14, you may submit a waiver request via the Tufts Student Information System iSIS (refer to page 2 and page 3).

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:  The deadline to waive the Student Health Insurance Plan is January 15, 2014
