Until recently, he was US President Barack Obama's special envoy to North Korea. Celebrated career diplomat and Dean, Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Stephen W Bosworth was in India recently, to attend a symposium on “The Indian Ocean: Politics, Security and Global Business”. "We have seen a slow but steady growth in the number of students from India... as India becomes increasingly important in a global sense, it is ever more important to have strong connections with the country," says Bosworth, who is on the governing board of the Indian School of Business thanks to a tie-up the Hyderabad-based institute has with The Fletcher School for setting up a public policy institute.

... Bosworth, who trains his students in conflict management and negotiation techniques , says most conflicts in the world cannot be solved, but can only be managed.
