Maritime Studies spans environment, security, trade and history. The Maritime Studies website sits at the nexus of several programs at the Fletcher School that contribute events and courses, which are relevant to students interested in pursuing a maritime perspective to international affairs.

The Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP) – CIERP is Fletcher's home for environmental and resource questions. CIERP helped start the Fletcher Arctic conference series. 

Tufts Institute of the Environment (tiE) – tiE, a Tufts wide program, takes a broad view on environmental issues around the world. tiE was also a co-sponsor of the Arctic conferences from 2012-2014.

Fletcher International Security Studies Program (ISSP) – ISSP facilitates dialogues, speakers, and research into security studies issues. Further, ISSP hosts military fellows every year. Fletcher routinely hosts two promising US Navy officers, who provide insights into current issues facing the US and global navies.

Murrow Center for Public Diplomacy – The Murrow Center, with CIERP, hosted the Arctic conferences from 2012-2014.

Institute for Business in the Global Context (IBGC) – IBGC has hosted speakers who have spoken on shipping and maritime trade .

Institute for Global Maritime Studies (IGMS) ­– IGMS is a publicly supported, non-profit educational organization dedicated to encouraging maritime studies and research. In addition, many Boston-area schools hosts speakers and talks relevant to maritime studies.
