Career Support Services

In addition to the full range of programming provided by the Office of Career Services, the MIB program provides career education and counseling services to assist our students in honing their career goals and building their job search skills:

•    Career Strategy Groups: Throughout their first year of study, small groups of MIB students meet on a regular basis with a professional career coach and a student mentor. These regular meetings build on the Professional Development Program curriculum and help guide students through the job and internship search process over the course of the year. The small group size assures immediate and personalized feedback, collective brainstorming, and a consistent support network.

•    MIB Alumni Talks: MIB alumni are a diverse group of professionals who span sectors, industries, and geographies. We help current MIB students connect with our alumni and learn from their experiences by hosting “Conversations with MIB Alums.” These conversations take place either in person or over Skype and allow students to ask the most pressing questions about the reality of working in a particular field.  From workplace culture to job requirements to hidden pitfalls, these candid conversations help students learn about their career options from those who know their industries best.
