Why I chose Fletcher: I chose Fletcher because it offered me a unique combination of a business education in an international context. Before Fletcher I worked at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, and I was certain that my career would be in the field of international business, so for me Fletcher’s MIB program was a natural fit. I enjoyed getting to know my classmates and professors, and the wealth of knowledge from both the student body and the professors never ceased to amaze me. My favorite course was Professor Jacque’s Foundations in Financial Accounting and Corporate Finance class because of the insight gained from management’s perspective and the criteria used for high level decision-making. Additionally, the Professional Development Program combined with the tools available for interview preparation made me feel as if I was ready to take on the challenges of the interview process.

My quintessential Fletcher moment: My quintessential Fletcher moment came during Marshall Carter’s (Head of NYSE and NYSE Euronext) presentation on the financial crisis. As I sat and listened to this Ex-CEO speak candidly about his experiences on Wall Street and what it has been like to run the NYSE & NYSE Euronext platforms, I realized that only at Fletcher could this experience have been possible, and only at Fletcher would I have such a personal interaction with such an important figure.
