Why I chose Fletcher: I choose Fletcher because it is one of a kind. There are many excellent business schools and many recognized international relations programs, but there are not many schools that truly examine the intersections between these two fields. By completing a Master of International Business (MIB), I can boost my hard skills in spreadsheet modeling, company valuation, and case analysis, and at the same time explore global issues and softer skills like negotiation, networking, and cultural understanding. The MIB program is the best of both worlds.
How I hope to make a difference in the world:
Fletcher does a great job with equipping students with core business competencies, while simultaneously building a strong understanding about the global arena. I believe that a person with these two competences is more prepared to address and understand the difficulties of the global world we live in. The biggest difference one can make in the world, is to be conscious that everything we do has an impact, no matter which sector we chose to work in, and that we have the power to make a positive change. I want to be a driver of that change.

My role was to map the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Lima by interviewing entrepreneurs, investors and universities. I broadcasted a live event through YouTube about the strengths and weaknesses of Lima’s entrepreneurial landscape, and wrote an article about Medellin as the “Innovative City of the Year.” These efforts converged in establishing the brand of Impact Hub in Lima.
