Why I chose Fletcher: After four years working with development banks, I was looking for a program that allowed me to go deeper into finance for development, with an international perspective. I targeted top international relations graduate programs, but after comparing the different curricula and attending the Master of International Business (MIB) program visit day, I realized that Fletcher was the perfect fit to my interests and goals. The diversity of nationalities and backgrounds with similar interests to mine reinforces the sense of a close community. At the same time, this community broadens the scope of the multidisciplinary approach of the MIB program and the issues covered in its curriculum during in-class sessions. Talking to alumni was a decisive factor when I confirmed that most of them worked in several interesting fields combining business acumen with an international affairs education. A blend perfectly balanced in the MIB program.

My Post-Fletcher Career: I see myself working in international development banks, leading investment projects all over the world. My main goal for graduate studies is to attain the expertise to build an international career in banking and deliver assistance to clients on concrete problems, either providing project finance for large investments, or fostering entrepreneurship with corporations and small-medium businesses. Since those activities encourage job creation and enhance competitiveness, I desire to become a specialist in providing financial services to support these activities, particularly at risk-averse scenarios, supporting decision makers in their investment choices, and contributing to a larger economic development.
