Why I chose Fletcher:  I chose Fletcher because I was looking to change my career and wanted to transition out of the private sector. I wanted to build on the business background that I already possessed, but at the same time focus on development economics. Fletcher offered a Masters of International Business (MIB) program, which tied together the fields I was passionate about, and could be completed in two years - as opposed to the MBA/MA dual degrees offered elsewhere, which require three years. The selectivity of the program, coupled with the reputation of Fletcher in international affairs community, assured me of my decision of choosing an MIB over a traditional MBA.

How I learned about Fletcher: I first learned about Fletcher at an MBA fair in New York City.  I visited their table, which was hosted by an admissions representative and a recent MIB graduate, briefly pausing after remembering the name "Fletcher" when researching international affairs graduate programs. My short hesitation before moving on to the next table resulted in an enlightening conversation with the Fletcher representatives, who were beyond helpful, and not to mention very friendly! I was surprised to discover that Fletcher offered a program focusing on business, as well as international affairs, which could be completed in two years. I left feeling like I had found exactly what I was looking for, and now that I am a current student, I am positive I made the right decision in ending my graduate school search that day.
