Why I chose Fletcher: My goal is to have an entrepreneurial business career focused on emerging markets. Though I knew that a business education would be critical to understanding the challenges associated with such a career, I really struggled with the idea of taking the traditional MBA route. It didn't take me long to realize that Fletcher's MIB curriculum offered me a chance to simultaneously develop core business skills and an international perspective on business issues. It's like I'm getting two degrees for the price of one!
On the classroom experience: The Fletcher classroom environment is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Imagine a discussion on the Eurozone debt crisis in a room full of peace corps volunteers, investment bankers, diplomats, international aid workers, consultants, military officers, Europeans, Asians, Latin Americans, Americans, etc. The richness of perspective is just amazing. I know I wouldn't have received the same experience at a traditional MBA program.
