Dean Bhaskar Chakravorti on Measuring Prosperity

Bhaskar Chakravorti is a Senior Associate Dean at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.

Measuring Prosperity

What makes a society prosperous? The obvious answer is wealth but we'll be discovering that there's more to it than just money, prosperity is also about security, health and well-being. And, what's in a thought? Surely in a knowledge economy more than a just penny? Can you measure its value to an economy?

Justin Rowlatt's guests are Will Hutton who chairs the economic research centre, the Big Innovation Centre, and is Principal of Hertford College, Oxford; Bhaskar Chakravorti, Senior Associate Dean for International Business and Finance [at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy] at Tufts University in Boston; and Jeff Gedmin, President of the Legatum Institute, a think tank based in London.
