How I first learned about Fletcher: I first learned
about Fletcher from a good friend and Fletcher alumnus from the class
of ’98, who has since had an exceptionally successful career in
Washington, D.C. He had only great things to say about his time at
Fletcher. He of course talked about Fletcher’s dedicated faculty and
the advantages of its flexible curriculum; but most of all, he talked
about the lifelong friends he had made here. In fact, he organized a
Fletcher brunch for me in D.C., giving me the compelling opportunity to
speak with Fletcherites working in every sector.
How Fletcher has broadened my global perspective:
The sense of global community at Fletcher is truly remarkable. Every
day I am connected to the most pressing global challenges because I
have Fletcher friends who have lived those very challenges. This makes
the Fletcher experience extraordinarily dynamic—both in and out of the
classroom. Mention any country, and a Fletcherite will give you an
impassioned, on-the-ground perspective of their experiences living and
working there. Not only that, you will more than likely get an
invitation to see for yourself. For me, there is no better way to
broaden my global perspective.
