Aparna Polavarapu, 2010, United States

Georgetown University Law Center, Teaching Fellow & Supervising Attorney - Washington, DC

On the involvement of Fletcher alumni: The Fletcher alumni network is an amazing resource. A benefit of a school with a strong student community is that it creates a strong and connected alumni network. The alumni to whom I've reached out have been very gracious and responsive, and are clearly interested in seeing the next generation of Fletcher alumni become successful leaders.

On your current job: I co-teach the International Women's Human Rights Clinic at Georgetown Law School with Professor Susan Deller Ross. We teach seminar courses focusing on using international, comparative, and domestic law to further women's rights, and supervise students on both litigation and fact-finding/human rights advocacy projects in various countries.
