Why Fletcher? There are so many reasons that I chose Fletcher. Going through the courses offered, I marked nearly 80% of them as classes I was interested in taking because they sounded fascinating! I did not have this experience looking at course catalogs from other schools, where I was interested in just a handful of classes. I also appreciated the range of faculty, many of whom were focusing on subjects I am passionate about – such as human rights, refugees and IDPs, and addressing conflict. I also knew that I would be able to tailor the curriculum to really weave my interests together because there is such an array of classes and fields of study. As someone who craves variety, this was essential to me.

On being a “Career Changer” at Fletcher: There are career-development workshops, guests from outside organizations and businesses, and panels on internships and jobs every few days. I was certainly not expecting this level of career support when I came to Fletcher. It's wonderful that there are so many opportunities to learn more, develop skills, and see what opportunities are available. As someone who is hoping to transition out of the non-profit sector this has been a huge resource.
