Lina Hadboun, 2017, France & Algeria

On the depth of the curriculum: I was quite amazed to encounter a wide pool of classes to choose from. The core courses in International Law and Organizations; Diplomacy, History, and Politics; and Economics and International Business can be supplemented by courses at other schools like Harvard and other departments at Tufts University. This fall, I am taking Arabic classes in the Tufts language department, and I plan on cross-registering for a class in Harvard Law School next semester.

On the diversity of the community: At Fletcher I have met an astounding variety of people from all walks of life. For many issues that are discussed in classes, I can find students that are subject matter experts on that relevant topic. Given my concentration in Security Studies, I had the fortunate opportunity to meet and learn from our military fellows who have had extensive field experience. This opened my thoughts and perspectives to new forms of thinking and different points of views.
