Why Fletcher: My background is in international health and I chose Fletcher because I wanted to go to a school that excelled in interdisciplinary teaching and emphasized strategic thinking. Addressing global health issues requires an understanding of the legal, economic, and political context, and Fletcher’s curriculum provided me an opportunity to tailor my coursework around my interests and, most importantly, the skill sets I wanted to strengthen. It was also important for me to go to a school where the professors were top practitioners in their field but were also accessible outside of the classroom. The professors at Fletcher take the time to make sure you understand any complex material while also challenging your thinking around international issues. The student body’s international experience was also important to me when deciding to go to Fletcher. It's refreshing to get the perspective from classmates who have lived in a country that we may be studying or have directly experienced the issues that are being explored in our coursework. Fletcher’s international lens and interdisciplinary approaches are one of its many greatest strengths.

On career services: The Career Services team at Fletcher is amazing. Fletcher supports its students not just academically but also helping them to succeed in finding meaningful internships and opportunities post-Fletcher. The Professional Development Program is an example of this where students are taught how to refine their resumes and network with employers and Fletcher alumni. Fletcher is not just about the academics; it’s an environment where you have the opportunity to grow as both a student and as a professional.
