On Fletcher’s reputation:  Fletcher's reputation, of course, is what attracted me to it in the first place. Once I compared it to similar programs, I realized that not only did it offer an opportunity to study fascinating subjects with an incredibly accomplished faculty and student body, but that it maintains, at the same time, a collegial sense of community among its peers that is quite unique. Having been out of a classroom for some time, this idea that I could be studying in a focused but friendly environment had a huge appeal for me. This culture, as well as the sense of pride that Fletcher alumni (the "Fletcher Mafia") obviously feel towards the school, made my decision easy!

On the Fletcher community: The huge variety of experience and backgrounds at Fletcher has a real and positive impact on the school's academic and social environment. Most notably, the student body is drawn from literally all over the world. Among them are former military personnel, development experts, aid workers, lawyers, economists - the list of professional experiences goes on and on. This multifaceted atmosphere is absolutely conducive to examining complex global issues and their many dimensions.

On career services: Fletcher does a great job recognizing that a world-class education is of little use if you can't apply it somewhere. To that end, the support students receive from Career Services is truly impressive. From organizing countless information sessions, to arranging career trips, to providing access to the legendary Fletcher network - it's obvious that the school takes our professional pursuits seriously and goes to great lengths to ensure that we not only get a job, but a job that matches our personality and aspirations. One need only look at the Professional Development Program, an ongoing workshop for first-year students to improve their employability, for evidence that Fletcher makes a real effort on behalf of its people.
