Why I chose Fletcher: I choose Fletcher because of the passion of its students and alumni. They stood out, with their purposeful visions of their lives, and desire to make a meaningful contribution to the world. Fletcher helps foster their passions and help them find new ways to apply it to the world.
A quintessential Fletcher moment: I will always remember orientation week, not for the overview of campus resources, but because it was then that I realized that Fletcher students are never quiet. Everywhere I went, people wanted to talk and learn from each other. Everyone had such diverse experiences: some worked for Swiss banks, and others lived in war torn regions working on gender advocacy projects. Despite having different interests, we all seemed to have plenty to talk about. Since orientation ended, the talking hasn't slowed down. We have debates about news topics, discuss class, and everything in between - sometimes crammed into a 30 second interaction in a hallway. I love how my classmates are always finding new ways to engage with each other, and learn from each other. They push each other to become better.
