Diversity at Fletcher: During one of the first Fletcher Futbol scrimmages, I came to realize the diversity of the Fletcher community. Our team is comprised of a former Wall Street broker, a professional poker player, a distinguished musician, as well as numerous diplomats, lawyers, economists, and military service men. But above all, we make up a good soccer team, which we proved by our latest victory against HLS!
How I learned about Fletcher: My first encounter with the Fletcher School was rather special. By coincidence, I met Professor John Hammock during a panel discussion on multidimensional poverty measures in Washington, D.C. Intrigued by his work on human development and poverty, I started talking to him after the event. Although we only had a brief conversation, his account of how Fletcher embraces academic rigor in an interdisciplinary and practical approach fascinated me. When I got home that night, I began to research the Fletcher School, and was hooked.
