Why I chose Fletcher: I was initially drawn to Fletcher because of the strong academic programs it offered, and the flexibility of its curriculum - I wanted a program that would provide me with the tools to design holistic responses to problems. I ultimately chose Fletcher because I felt at home when I visited the campus. During my first visit, the environment struck me as unique, warm, and welcoming. As I completed the application process, staff, students, and even faculty were incredibly helpful and kind. It was exactly this characteristic of the Fletcher community that helped me make a decision. To be part of an open, intellectually curious, and supportive community is very important to me. This kind of community makes the academic environment richer and allows students to make the most of their graduate experience, growing professionally and personally while learning from the incredibly diverse personalities and experiences of other “Fletcherites.”

On the diversity of the student body: I am amazed by the diversity of the profiles and backgrounds of the students within the Fletcher community.  This is incredibly valuable and useful. When studying any complex issue, there will always be a student with the knowledge and the eagerness to explain to me in detail the environmental, economic, structural, and security implications of the issue.
