Why I chose Fletcher:  I was initially drawn to Fletcher because I wanted to have as much control over my course of study as possible. My undergraduate institution had no core curriculum, and I was uncomfortable with the idea of being forced to take classes that I was not interested in. Being able to take classes inside and outside of my fields of study means that I am getting exactly the education I want. I am also a Boston native and being able to return home after two years abroad was a great benefit to attending Fletcher.

On Career Services: I was skeptical about the Professional Development Program (PDP) at first because I didn't think I would get a lot out of it. PDP also happens every Friday morning at 9 am, and I wasn't thrilled about having an extra class on my only day off on a weekday. However, I have been very impressed by how much I have learned through these sessions, and looking back on previous job searches, I can better pinpoint exactly where I went wrong. The Office of Career Services (OCS) has been a great resource during the internship search process, and they really emphasize leveraging the alumni network to find a job. With the help of this network and OCS I feel confident that I will find a great job when I graduate.
