Why I chose Fletcher: I am a strong believer in
thinking outside of the box and approaching problems from many
different perspectives. I chose Fletcher because its multidisciplinary
curriculum and diverse student body complement this view. Not only do
my classes address the nexus of politics, law, and economics, but the
knowledge that my classmates bring from their experience in these
fields deepens my understanding of how these fields interact.
Furthermore, I am entering international affairs after working in
aerospace engineering, so I wanted a supportive environment that would
allow me to make a smooth transition. My experience at Fletcher in this
regard has been amazing so far. Not only are my classmates very
supportive and always willing to help, but so are the faculty and
staff. Fletcher has turned out to be an environment in which I can
thrive.
How I plan to use my experience at Fletcher to make a difference in the world:
I plan to use my Fletcher experience to help civilians in conflict and
post conflict societies. I am very passionate about seeking just and
sustainable resolutions to conflicts and would also love to contribute
to post-conflict reconstruction, development, and rule of law projects.
