On collaboration and teamwork: Fletcher is unique
in comparison to similar programs because of the bonds that Fletcher
students build with one another. This makes collaboration and teamwork
feel very natural outside of the classroom. For most of my classes, my
study group partners quickly became my friends. This not only allows us
to hold one another accountable and be straightforward with one another
in group meetings, but makes studying much more exciting and enjoyable.
On Fletcher’s international community: Fletcher
has broadened my global perspective in more ways than I could have
imagined. Fletcher courses, lectures, and most importantly the students
at Fletcher have in a sense, brought the world to me. In class, I am
surrounded by students from all over the world. In the hallways, I
hear many different languages while walking from one class to another.
In my social life, I spend time with people that I would never have met
under normal circumstances in my Washington, D.C. life. Fletcher has
shown me that the world has so much to offer, and it is a privilege to
be in an environment where I'm constantly gaining knowledge about
global issues from a number of different perspectives.
