Why I chose Fletcher: I applied to Fletcher because
of what it offers to students; I chose Fletcher because of what it
expects from me. It gives students a world-renowned academic education, a
student and alumni network without equal, and an opportunity for
intense personal growth. It expects from me nothing less than an
enduring commitment to a bold vision, global perspective, and ethical
leadership.
How my experience at Fletcher has changed the way I look at the world: Fletcher
has changed the way I look at the world by reinforcing the importance
of studying both detail and generality. It may have a flexible
curriculum, but the school instills in all its students a rigid truth:
complex issues can only be understood by knowing the context in which
they exist, grasping the particulars that make them unique, and
challenging all their corresponding assumptions.
