A hallmark of the Fletcher experience is the diversity and energy of our student body and alumni network. Students pursuing a MALD at the School bring a wealth of professional experience, unique perspectives, and a diversity of interests to the community. They share an interest in interdisciplinary approaches to solving pressing international problems. Fletcher alumni successfully navigate the intersections of international business, government policy, the non-profit world and international organizations. This ability to work comfortably across sectors is vital in an increasingly interconnected world.

The most intellectually stimulating, personally rewarding experiences you'll have at Fletcher come from interactions you'll have with other students inside and out of the classroom. More than 40 percent of Fletcher's student body comes from outside the United States, representing more than 70 countries. Students share their professional experiences, working in diverse sectors including investment banking, public service, the military, and international development.

The wide array of ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, political opinions, and personal and professional experiences creates a dynamic classroom environment. It reinforces the multidisciplinary approach we value, namely that today’s international challenges are best understood and tackled from multiple perspectives. Fletcher students have impressive academic credentials and life experience, and a shared passion for making a difference in the world. When you choose to study at Fletcher, you are joining a dynamic, close-knit community that spans the globe.

The wide-ranging success of our alumni demonstrates the great value of a Fletcher education. The exceptional cohesiveness of the Fletcher alumni community is continuously evident in the commitment of those alumni to the success of our current students. With over 8000+ members across the globe, our alumni network stays connected and involved with Fletcher through more than 70 alumni clubs and associations worldwide. Fletcher graduates are uniquely positioned to shape the course of international affairs through their careers as diplomats, civil servants, industry executives, military officers, journalists, scholars, lawyers, researchers, and consultants.
