Prior experience: I have served for over 11 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Artillery Officer. My first duty station was Camp Pendleton, CA (2006-2009). During this time, I completed two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. In 2009, I transferred to Okinawa, Japan. During my time in Okinawa, I was deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. While in Afghanistan, I supported soldiers from the Republic of Georgia as they conducted counter insurgency operations in Helmand Province. In 2013, I was selected as an Olmsted Scholar to study in St. Petersburg, Russia but eventually had to relocate to Kyiv, Ukraine due to relations between Russia and the US. In Kyiv, I studied political science at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. My interests include international relations (with an emphasis on Russia-US), running, paddle boarding, and golf.

What do you hope to acheive through MA Program: During my time at The Fletcher School, I hope to gain a better understanding of the workings of international relations and improve my research and writing skills.
