Michael Karabalis, 2017, Greece

Karabalis What you hope to achieve through the MA program: Since The Fletcher School is focused on preparing practitioners in every aspect of international relations, I will have the opportunity to enhance my knowledge in familiar disciplines, like diplomatic history, and in others, where additional educational input would be more than welcome, like economics, culture and security. Another important element that Fletcher’s curriculum offers, is the interconnection between academic education, international reality and real world experience. In addition, the one-year duration of the program will allow me to improve my knowledge and skills without disconnecting me for too long from my working environment. Overall, I believe that the MA Program will have a positive impact on my performance as a public functionary, and, apart from the aspect of personal improvement, I will be an asset to my Service and my country.
