Why I chose Fletcher: After serving in the Foreign Service for a decade, I mistakenly thought I had already seen the world. It wasn’t until I came to Fletcher that I realized I was wrong. Thanks to Fletcher’s flexible and inter-disciplinary curriculum, and vibrant academic environment, I am truly enjoying myself as I explore and expand my potential, thus moving everyday a little bit closer to my next career high.

How do you plan to use your experience at Fletcher to make a difference in the world? Many Chinese diplomats consider the Fletcher School to be a top IR school where academic excellence meets practical training. It has graduated a long line of Chinese diplomats, most of whom are influential and active today at China’s foreign forefront. Just name a few: Ambassador to the UK Liu Xiaoming, Ambassador to Canada Chen Mingming, Special Representative on African Issues Zhong Jianhua. I hope I can join them in the future.
