Why Fletcher: Given my background and experience of teaching and research in the field of gender, law and development, I wanted to continue my learning within an institution that reflected interdisciplinary perspectives along with breadth and depth of expertise within this field. I was interested to expand my knowledge in the specific area of negotiations and conflict resolution and chose Fletcher because of the integration of research with practitioner experience drawn across a range of contexts globally. Moreover, the flexibility of the curriculum really allows students to focus on structuring the best program that fits their own needs and objectives.

On the Alumni Network: I have heard of the fabled Fletcher 'mafia'! I know that the alumni retain strong commitments to the School and look forward to interacting more with them as I join their ranks in a few months time. I have come to see some of the networks in operation at various talks by alumni, sharing of knowledge and sustained communities both online and physical and it is heartening to know that the unique strengths of Fletcher are being deepened globally.
