Sol Iglesias, 2013, Philippines

Why I chose Fletcher:  Having worked in diplomatic circles and international relations studies, I met several people from various countries and disciplines who have one thing in common – the Fletcher School. That's what first piqued my interest. I discovered the Fletcher School’s one-year MA program for mid-career professionals, and thought that it would be a perfect segue from almost a decade in my profession to doctoral studies.

My Plans Post-Fletcher: Rather than a very international life post-Fletcher, I see the opposite for myself. I plan to return to the Philippines and help prepare university students for an international life. I’d like to invest my time in preparing future diplomats, attaches from other agencies like trade or labor, negotiators, journalists, business people. An interesting way of coming full circle would be if Fletcher were involved!
