Bogdan Ovidiu Biris, 2013

Bogdan Ovidiu Biris is from Romania and recently graduated with honors from the Bucharest Faculty of Law’s LLM Program in Public International Law.  Over the years he has developed a keen interest in the field of both Public International and Private Transnational Law.  In his second year of Law School he took part in the Ben Telders International Moot Court held in The Hague, The Netherlands.  As an LLM student, he competed in 2011 International Rounds of the prestigious Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition.  In 2012 he helped coach the University’s Jessup team and stood on the Bench for the National Rounds of the Ben Telders Moot Court Competition.  Occasionally, he works on joint projects with the Bucharest Faculty of Law, the most recent of which was the 2012 Manfred Lachs Space Moot Court Competition, which he helped organize.

From 2009 to 2010, Bogdan worked in the legal department of the second largest Romanian bank.  Previously he had worked in the legal department of an important management consulting firm.  In addition, he took several courses in European business, labor and tax law.  Bogdan is also highly proficient in the domain of foreign languages, holding an English translator certificate doubled by considerable experience in the field.
