Isabella Merabova graduated with honors from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) receiving a Bachelor of Laws with Command of Foreign Languages.
During her studies at MGIMO she competed twice in Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition being awarded the 6th place Oralist Prize and taking the 16th Place in the International Rounds.
Isabella acquired professional experience in Russia, practicing corporate law with a focus on litigation for two years. She has also worked at a set of issues related to migration. In 2011 she launched a project of volunteer legal assistance to 11 Armenian Refugees from Azerbaijan in Moscow who were threatened to be ejected from a privatized hotel.
Isabella’s professional interest relates to Post-Soviet region. She is particularly interested in Refugees law, Migration , Human rights in general as well as in Intellectual Property Law.
