Student Research Funding at IBGC

The Institute for Business in the Global Context (IBGC) offers Fletcher degree candidates the opportunity to apply for funding in support of original research objectives, including coursework, business plans, and thesis or dissertation projects. Funding is limited and competitive, and requires an application, committee review, detailed expense reporting, and a final product that can be published on the IBGC website. Past examples of funded student work are available here.

Funding is exclusively limited to Fletcher School degree candidates, and all decisions are made by committee review. Please read our the following documents for details:

For more information or questions, please email the IBGC administrative assistant, Katherine Round at katherine.round@tufts.edu

IBGC Summer Fellowships

IBGC also offers the opportunity for a select number of exceptional Fletcher students to conduct original research and analysis around the world as a part of the IBGC Research Fellowship. The program was created in 2013 along with the MasterCard Center for Inclusive Growth and has send student teams into the field for deep immersive study in Myanmar, Turkey, Kenya, and Indonesia during its first two years.
