As part of the “Country Management: Strategy, Operations and Leadership in Emerging and Frontier Economies” seminar, the Center for Emerging Market Enterprises (CEME) at The Fletcher School, Tufts University has initiated several research streams. The following original pieces will be available in the weeks leading up to the seminar and will serve as the basis for discussion during the two days of events in March.
White Paper. This study, to be issued in January 2011, will catalogue the results of global strategy and country management-focused interviews with more than 40 corporate CEOs, chairmen, and senior managers with multinational corporations in the U.S., Western Europe, China, India, Japan, and Turkey.
Reflections from Practice. A series of vignettes highlighting country management issues, best practices, challenges, solutions and questions, the Reflections from Practice will be released in early March 2011 and will feature more than 10 distinct personal stories from high-level country managers from around the world.
Academic Papers. Prepared by scholars from The Fletcher School and other institutions, these papers, to be available in early March 2011, will focus on the core frameworks of the Country Management: Strategy, Operations and Leadership in Emerging and Frontier Economies project as outlined in the original call for papers.
