Midyear Residency Reunion

Please join us for GMAP’s first ever Midyear Residency Reunion in Budapest, Hungary, September 2-4, 2011!

We have heard from so many of you that you want this residency experience recreated.  What better place than Budapest, Hungary, an intriguing city and country?  Anna Seleny, GMAP’s International Politics professor who has taught our students since 2004 and has in fact written a book entitled The Political Economy of State-Society Relations in Hungary and Poland, will join us for the weekend to lead a seminar and discussions. She will be joined by local experts who will share their views on Hungary’s internal and external policies and provide insight as the most current pressing issues for the country.

This will be a small intimate gathering with the opportunity to get to know GMAPers from other classes. And of course in typical GMAP fashion, we will also explore the city and its historic buildings, delicious food and superior wine.

Mac Regan GMAP06 is spearheading alumni participation for this exciting event.  Local alumni helping with the planning include Anita Orban Ph.D. 01, Mr. Krisztian Orban, F02, Zsuzsanna Szelenyi GMAP10, Jay Truesdale GMAP09, Charles Kovacs F70, Andrew Durbin F99, Patrick T. Egan F00, Tom Schwieters F97.  We thank them for all of their strategic help and participation!

I look forward to seeing you soon, if not in Budapest, then in my future travels.

Warmest wishes,
DWN
