Helen Anderson
Associate Director

Helen Anderson works part-time coaching students and alumni interested in the private sector. In addition to coaching students and alumni, Helen serves as a faculty and student club liaison and performs employer outreach. She also manages the Blakeley and Slawson Fellowship Programs, and teaches a section of the Professional Development Program.

Helen has been actively involved in supporting Fletcher students in their career management since she joined the school in 1992 as the Director of Internship Programs. Before coming to Fletcher, Helen worked at a healthcare consulting firm in the Boston area. Previously, she worked for eight years at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, most recently as the Administrator for Medical Affairs. Helen is currently on the board of Brigham and Women’s / Faulkner Hospital. She also is a corporator at the Dedham Institution for Savings in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Helen received a B.A. from Cornell University and an MBA in health administration from Columbia University.

Tyrel Clayton

As Staff Assistant, Tyrel is the first person students meet when they walk into the Office of Career Services (OCS). He coordinates the logistics of OCS events and programs, maintains Fletcher Career Central (FCC), and answers any student or alumni inquiries about the office's many services. As a member of the Committee of External Fellowships and Internships (CEFI), Tyrel co-manages the summer internship funding process. He is instrumental in organizing the logistics for PDP, and provides administrative support for the OCS Travel Subsidy Program.

Tyrel can also assist students and alumni in discerning which of the OCS staff coaches they should meet with based on their fields of interest, as well as provide assistance with FCC.

Tyrel received a BA in English from the University of Florida. When not working on becoming a gourmet chef, Tyrel enjoys swing dancing, knitting, and Shakespeare.

Heather Fink
Assistant Director

Heather is an Assistant Director at the Fletcher Office of Career Services and coaches students and alumni interested in the work of the Non-Profit/NGO sector as well as Multilateral Organizations.

Heather has worked at five different career centers including The Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University, Northeastern University, Wellesley College and Binghamton University. Heather has delivered over 50 workshops spanning topics such as cover letters, salary negotiation, resumes, LinkedIn, interviewing, job and internship search and enjoys teaching and coaching students individually.

Heather has her MS in College Student Development and Counseling from Northeastern University and a BA in Psychology at Binghamton University.

Elana Givens

Elana Givens is the Director, Office of Career Services (OCS) at The Fletcher School. She is responsible for the general management and strategic direction of the office and oversees the primary functions of career education, counseling and employer relations.

Prior to working at The Fletcher School, Elana led the career center at the graduate business school at Brandeis University preparing students for global careers in business, economics and finance among the private, public and NGO sectors.

Elana moved to higher education following an established career in management consulting. In her work as Managing Partner, Twain Associates, Inc., she advised corporations from the US, Europe and Asia on their business strategies. She has extensive experience in many key areas including market and competitive analysis, new business analysis, product and customer profitability, sales and distribution, and acquisition analysis.

Elana serves on the Corporate Advisory Board of ALPFA Boston, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing Latino leaders. She also served on the board of the MBA Career Services and Employer Alliance from 2012 – 2015 and held the position of Vice President from 2014 – 2015. She was Co-Chair of the MBA CSEA's first Asian Conference in Singapore in 2014.

Elana earned her M.S. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She earned her B.A. cum laude in Economics from Brandeis University.

Christie Reynolds

Christie Reynolds is an Associate Director and coaches 1st and 2nd year students as well as alumni targeting private sector careers. In addition to counseling students, she manages the career education programming for the Office, including the Professional Development Program (PDP). Prior to joining Fletcher, Christie counseled students at Boston University School of Management, MIT and Suffolk University regarding their career development needs. In those roles, she taught a career development course, advised graduate and undergraduate students as well as PhD candidates, developed career programming and presented extensively.

Prior to working in the field of career counseling, Christie attended law school and worked as a law clerk at the US Department of Justice in DC. Following law school, Christie facilitated Business and Client Development for several different law firms in Washington DC, New York and Connecticut. Christie has an MA in Higher Education Administration from Suffolk University, a JD from American University and a BA in Communications from Boston College. On the top of her list of places she would like to visit in the near future are Israel, Cuba, Spain and the UAE.

Rochelle Sharit

Rochelle is the Associate Director of Employer Relations. She manages employer events and job postings and also develops relationships with organizations to increase career opportunities for students.

For the past ten years, Rochelle has worked in university career services. At Northeastern, she coached MBA students in all aspects of career development. At Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, Rochelle was the Industry Relations Manager for the Energy/Environmental Sustainability, Technology, Public/Non-Profit and Consumer Products industries. In this hybrid role, she was responsible for career advising for students interested in these industry sectors, account management and business development. Previously, Rochelle held marketing roles for companies, such as Motorola and Work/Family Directions. She earned an MBA from Boston College’s School of Management.

Rochelle loves the outdoors, especially biking, hiking and kayaking. Her favorite means of travel is by bike, having taken bike trips in Italy, France, Vietnam and Canada.

Lesley Theall

At Fletcher Lesley coaches students and alumni who are interested in the public sector, trade, environment, energy and think tanks. She also teaches one section of the Professional Development Program (PDP) and manages the Robertson Fellows Program and the Boren Fellowship.

Lesley joins the OCS team with a background in career coaching, international nonprofit and higher education program management. In the nonprofit sector Lesley led a small local organization called the Boston Center for International Visitors (part of a USIA/State Department Program). During a stint in NYC, she worked in the Foreign Fulbright Division of the International Institute of Education (IIE), advising MA/Ph.D. foreign Fulbright students on their academic studies. Additionally, for 15 years she worked in higher education program management and career coaching at the Harvard Kennedy School and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In particular, Lesley enjoys developing students’ public narratives, and their personal brand as well as encouraging them to continually grow and expand their personal/professional networks.

Lesley received her MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, her BA in Spanish from the University of Vermont and a professional coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute. She attended Middlebury College’s Language Program in Intermediate Spanish and their Semester Abroad Program in Madrid.

Some of her hobbies include reading, cycling, pilates, cooking (the spicier the better!), and being on the outer Cape as much as possible!
