    Miranda will be speaking on her new work on governing automated decisions. Automated decisions increasingly mediate civic life: algorithms screen immigrants, allocate social services, review resumes, and determine what information is in our social media feeds.

    Religious Freedom in Turkey and the European Court of Human Rights

    Join the Fletcher Initiative on Religion, Law & Diplomacy for a discussion with Dr. Dilek Kurban on religious pluralism and freedom in Turkey and the European Court of Human Rights jurisprudence, including the legacy of Kurdish legal mobilization in Strasbourg in encouraging religious minorities to litigate their grievances before the ECtHR.

  3. Making Migration Safe, Orderly and Regular: Multilateralism With a Purpose

    Ambassador Juan José Gómez-Camacho, Permanent Representative to the United Nations, will discuss the latest draft of the United Nations Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. The Ambassador is co-facilitator of intergovernmental consultations and negotiations on issues related to the Global Compact. Reception to Follow.

  4. Edtech in Emerging Markets

    5:45 PM – 8:00 PM

    The Fletcher Tech4Good Initiative in partnership with the Tech@Fletcher and Boston Edtech Meetup groups will hold a panel discussion on ‘EdTech in Emerging Markets.’ Panelists: Roger Berry, CEO Fullbridge Nicholas Java, Principal Tyton Partners Toni Maravigilia, Cofounder Eneza Education Panel discussion will be followed by networking session with Boston edtech professional and dinner.
