The Student Council is proud to present a new series of "101" lectures called Fletcher CliffsNotes. CliffsNotes are an American study guide series that provide a summary of a much longer work designed to allow a student to quickly learn the key points, so each Fletcher CliffsNotes event will provide students with the chance to gain foundational knowledge about issues that are critical to Fletcher curriculum.
Guest speakers will cover the "101" basics of the topic, offer insights from his or her experience in the field, and take questions from the audience.
This week's lecture will feature Dr. Sam Perlo-Freeman of the World Peace Foundation. Dr. Perlo-Freeman, previously head of the military expenditure project at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, is also a leading expert on the arms trade and global arms industries.
