  1. John Holdren: "Why the Wafflers are Wrong: Addressing Climate Change is Urgent (and a Bargain)"

    After a quick review of key fundamentals of climate-change science, this presentation offers a breakdown of climate-change contrarians into three categories — deniers, wafflers and advocates of surrender — and argues that the wafflers are becoming the most numerous as well as the biggest obstacles to policy progress. It then draws on the latest findings from science and integrated assessments to expose the main flaws in the positions of each group, giving most attention to the wafflers.

  2. Student Internship panel - Impact Investing

    Join us for an informal panel on summer internships in the impact investing space! Impact investing is an exciting and rapidly growing industry powered by investors who are determined to generate social and environmental impact as well as financial returns. Come to learn more about investing, ecosystem-building, pay-for-success models and consulting with students who interned at the Global Impact Investing Network,, Instiglio and IC Net Ltd.

  3. Youth Radicalization in Tripoli, Lebanon

    12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

    Come join the Tripoli Project and the Fares Center for a Skype conversation with Dallin Van Leuven (F15) to discuss factors contributing to marginalization and radicalization amongst Lebanese youth. He will also preview his development of a training curriculum for transforming violent extremism and share his recent work on a study conducted by Search for Common Ground. Light refreshments will be provided.
